Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and River Kwai with Lunch and Shared Transfers

Damnoen Saduak is a village located about 105 km west of Bangkok. The Floating Market is routinely crowded with hundreds of vendors and purchasers floating in their small rowing boats selling and buying or exchanging their goods. They usually travel on their small rowing boats

Highlights

  • Damnoen Saduak is a world-famous floating market and the bustling scene is a timeless snapshot of exotic Thailand.
  • Located 100 km from downtown Bangkok, this tour makes it easy for anyone to see this unforgettable sight for themselves.
  • Decorated long-tail boats glide down the narrow canals, small wooden houses on stilts fringe the banks, some with larger ponds than lawns.
  • After your visit to the floating market, you proceed to River Kwai where you get to visit the iconic Bridge- the meter-gauge railway line constructed by Japan during WWII from Ban Pong, Thailand to Thanbyuzayat, Burma- now known as Death Railway.
  • The railway line was meant to transport cargo daily to India, to back up their planned attack on India. The construction was done using POWs and Asian slave labourers in unfavourable conditions.
